Hallo Ihr Lieben! Willkommen zu einer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil! Es passt mal wieder fast alles: Es wird nun doch langsam kalt in Deutschland (das darf es dann Ende November auch), in der Challenge geht es um das Thema  "Schnee" (der darf ruhig noch etwas auf sich warten lassen) und Mo hat eine Reihe entzückender neuer Wintermotive herausgebracht.
Mit diesen putzigen Schneeelfen habe ich eine Box für eine Gutscheinkarte dekoriert. Die neuen Motive findet ihr hier und den Schneemann hier in Mo's Shop.

Hello everybody and welcome to a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil! It's nearly everything in perfect harmony: It's slowly becoming cold here in Germany (what is okay for the end of November), in our challenge we have the theme "snow" (which is allowed to stay away for some more weeks) and Mo has created some new fantastic winter images.
With these adorable snow fairies I decorated a gift card holder box. You will find the new fairies here and the snowman here in Mo's shop.

Winterfairy Halla * Mo's DP # 215: Alles geht

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Ich wünsche euch ein wundervolles neues Jahr und alles Gute! Mit der ersten Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil in 2014 leuten wir ein hoffentlich schönes und kreatives Jahr ein. Wie üblich am Monatsanfang lautet das Challengethema: Alles ist erlaubt- natürlich mit einem Motiv von Mo Manning.
Ich reize das Thema auch gleich richtig aus, denn ich habe eine Weihnachtskarte für euch, obwohl das Fest ja gerade erst vorbei ist. ;-)  Als Motiv habe ich mich für die niedliche Winterelfe Halla entschieden.

Hallo ihr Lieben ... Ich hoffe, ihr hattet alle ein wunderschönes Weihnachtsfest! Nach langer Abwesenheit (die nicht nur durch die Feiertage, sondern leider auch durch einen gesundheitlichen Rückfall zustande kam), traue ich mich heute langsam das erste Mal wieder an den Rechner. Der steht nämlich am Bastelplatz und jener ist ganz oben im Haus. Puuh! Mein Körper versteht sich immer noch nicht so gut mit den Treppen, aber ich hoffe die Bewegung bringt auch etwas Schwung für den Kreislauf...
Genug Mitleid gehascht ... So zum Ende des Jahres möchte ich heute in einem Sammelpost mal einige meiner Festplattenleichen unveröffentlichten Werke zeigen. Es gibt noch einige mehr, aber um es abzukürzen habe ich mal die interessantesten Karten rausgesucht.

Mein Favorit 2013 * Mo's DP # 214: Favourite Mo card made by you

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Es ist kaum zu glauben, bei Mo's Digital Pencil startet heute tatsächlich die letzte Challenge in 2013! Wie auch in den letzten Jahren ist Zeit für einen kreativen Rückblick und somit lautet das Challengethema: Deine Lieblings-Mo-Karte aus 2013.
Für mich persönlich ist das eigentlich immer die schwierigste Aufgabe im Jahr, da man ja irgendwie immer alle Werke mag! aber im Gegensatz zum letzten Mal habe ich mich nun für eine Karte entschieden, die eigentlich so gar nicht meinem Stil entspricht und auch recht aufwendig war. Mein Favorit ist also die Schüttelkarte von letzter Woche mit dem grandiosen Motiv "Owl Moon".

Hello my dears! It's unbelievable, but at Mo's Digital Pencil today starts our last challenge for 2013! As a tradition we use this for a creative review and we want you to show us the favourite Mo card made by you in 2013.
For me personally this is the hardest challenge of the year, as I love all my Mo projects. But unlike last year I now decided on a card which doesn't represent my personal style and which was quite complex. So my favourite is my shaker card from last week with the gorgeous image  "Owl Moon".

Weihnachts-Eulen * Mo's DP # 213: Animals/Fairies

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Ihr kennt sie sicher auch, diese Tage an denen nichts so gar nichts läuft. Heute war bei mir so einer, denn  anscheinend bin nicht nur ich gesundheitlich angeschlagen, sondern auch mein Laptop leidet. Er ist mehr als nur langsam und an Posts bzw. Bilder hochladen war überhaupt nicht zu denken. Jetzt hat es ja endlich geklappt und ich kann euch auch meinen Beitrag zu unserer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil zeigen. Unsere wundervolle Debbie hat sich das Thema ausgedacht und zwar passend zu einem amerikanischen Kinderreim (den findet ihr auf dem Challengeblog) möchte sie Tiere oder Elfen auf euren Werken sehen.
Mir fel zu diesem Thema und auch gerade für die Weihnachtszeit das wunderschöne neue Motiv "Owl Moon" von Mo ein. Die Koloration hat soviel Spaß gemacht! Für den Nachthimmel habe ich Twinklings H²O und für alles andere meine Prismacolor Stifte verwendet. Kennt ihr das (moderne) Weihnachtslied "All I want for Christmas is you"? Das Motiv hat mich sofort an diesen Song erinnert - wahrscheinlich auch weil es im Englischen so schöne Wortspiele gibt, wie hier "all" durch "owl" (also Eule) zu ersetzen. Ergibt inhaltlich zwar keinen Sinn, aber ich find's spaßig! ;-)
Ach, und falls man es nicht auf dem Foto erkennt: Es ist eine Schüttelkarte geworden ... quasi wie eine Schneekugel. LOL

Hello my dears! Surely, you know them too. These days at which absolutely nothing is working. Today was of that kind, as apparently not only I am sick. But also my laptop is suffering and more than only slow and you could not even think of posting or uploading pics. Finally it works now and I can show you my contribution for our new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. Our wonderfull Debbie is our hostess this week and she thougth of a children's nursery rhyme (which you can find at the challenge blog) and wants to see animals and/or fairies on your projects.
For this theme and especially for Christmas time Mo's beautiful new image "Owl Moon" immediately came to my mind. The colouring of this was so much fun! I used Twinklings H²O for the night sky and Prismacolor pencils for the rest. Do you know the (modern) Christmas song "All I want for Christmas is you"? The image somehow reminded me of this song - maybe as there are these funny word plays in English. F.i. here you can replace "all" by "owl". Doesn't really make sence, but I like it! ;-) 
Oh, and in case you can't see it: It's a shaker card ... like a snow globe so to say. LOL

Frostige Weihnachtsgrüße * Mo's DP # 212: "I" is for ...

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Könnt ihr glauben, dass wir nun schon den letzten Monat des Jahres haben? Jedes mal wieder im Dezember frage ich mich, wo die Zeit nur geblieben ist...

Aber nun zu unserer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil. In dieser Woche haben wir wieder eine ABC-Challenge für euch und es ist der Buchstabe "i" an der Reihe. Da gibt es doch viele schöne Möglichkeiten (auf englisch), gerade auch passend zum Winter: Ice, Icicles (Eiskristalle), ill (krank), Indoors (drinnen) oder auch allgemeiner: Individual (individuell), insects usw. - euch fällt garantiert eine Menge ein!

Und meine "i's" sind eigentlich ziemlich offensichtlich, oder? Nach dem gleichnamigen Motiv "Igloo" von Mo natürlich I wie Igloo und Ice/Icicles. Aber auch (und jetzt kommt's) Inuit - so heißen nämlich die "Eskimos" richtig. ;-) Und somit ist eine frostige Weihnachtskarte entstanden...

Hello lovelies! Can you really believe that we already have the last month of this year? Every December again I ask  myself where the time has gone so fast ...

But now onto our new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. In this week we continue our ABC challenges and we are up to the letter "i". I think there are lots of possibilities, even perfect for winter: ice, icicles, ill, indoors or more general: individual, insects and so on. I am sure you can think of many more!

My "i's" are quite obviously, don't you think? By using Mo's image of the same title of course I have: "Igloo" and ice/icicles. But also Inuit, the correct name for the Eskimos. ;-) And so I have created a frosty Christmas card ...

Weihnachten naht * Mo's DP # 210: Christmas

Wow, schon wieder eine Woche rum ... Es geht nun wirklich mit riesen Schritten auf Weihnachten zu! Ich habe sogar schon ein paar Geschenke (natürlich für die Kinder) besorgt und mittlerweile auch die ein oder andere Weihnachtskarte gefertigt. ;-)
Eine davon ist für die neue Challenge bei  Mo's Digital Pencil. In dieser Woche möchte unsere fantastische Francesca weihnachtliche Projekte sehen - das passt zur Zeit natürlich perfekt, oder?  Mo Manning hat in diesem Jahr auch die Kollektion der niedlichen Winterelfen erweitert und ich habe für meine Karte den kleinen "Manty" verwendet.

Ein Rehlein ...

Ah schön ... heute war endlich mal wieder ein Sonntag, an dem keine Termine waren! Einfach den Tag genießen, viel Zeit mit den Kindern verbringen, Plätzchen backen oder auch einfach nichts tun - das tut gut. Aber auch das einfache Weihnachtskärtchen hat zur Entspannung beigetragen, weil es schnell gemacht war und dennoch chic geworden ist ... und ein CAS-Kärtchen auch unbedingt mal wieder sein musste!
Papier in Savanne, mit Noten bestempelt, darauf ein paar Spritzer Goldfarbe und Bakers Twine. Darüber ein mit Abstandspads montierter dreifacher Kreis, der ein schwarz embosstes Rehlein beherbergt. Text gestempelt und embosst. Fertig!

Hallo ihr Lieben,
ich begrüße euch schon wieder zu einer neuen Runde bei Mo's Digital Pencil! In dieser Woche möchten wir auf euren Projekten (mit Motiven von Mo Manning) Dinge sehen, die im Englischen mit "D" beginnen. Auf meiner Weihnachtskarte sind das z.B. "dad", "doves" (Tauben auf dem Papier) und "die cut" (Stanzteile). Zu dem lustigen Motiv "Santa Guy" fällt mir sogar ein deutsches "D" ein: "Dumm gelaufen!" *hihi* Ich bin mir auf jeden Fall sicher, dass euch dazu auch noch einiges einfallen wird! Das Motiv habe ich mit Prismacolor Stiften coloriert und das schöne Weihnachtspapier ist diesmal von BasicGrey aus der Serie "Nordic Holiday".
Falls ihr Interesse an dem ziemlich realtitätsgetreuen wunderbaren Motiv habt, wundert euch bitte nicht: Der Link führt in den alten Mo Manning Shop. Dieses Motiv ist derzeit noch nicht im neuen Shop erhältlich, das wird Mo aber noch nachholen. Und mit diesem werden so nach und nach auch einige andere der älteren Motive in den neuen Shop "umziehen" bevor der alte geschlossen wird.

again a hearty welcome to the next challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil! This week it says "D is for", so we would like to see things beginning with "D" on your projects showcasing images from Mo Manning. For instance, on my Christmas card we have "dad", "doves" (on the DP) and "die cut". Anyway, I am sure you can think of a lot more!
For my card I used an elder but very funny and realistic image. It's called "Santa Guy" and at the moment only available in Mo's old shop. But Mo will transfer this and some other of the elder images to her new shop soon, as the old one will be closed down in the nearly future.
My image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and the gorgeous Christmas papers are from BasicGrey "Nordic Holiday".

Ein Stern ... * Mo's DP # 164: Anything goes

So, da ist er nun endlich: mein (Papier-) Weihnachtsbaum! Dieses Projekt hatte ich ja eigentlich schon für die "Alles, außer quadratisch"-Challenge von Mo's Digital Pencil geplant, aber der erste Versuch war leider für die Tonne... ;-) Auf jeden Fall passt eine ungewöhnliche Kartenform auch prima zum neuen Thema: Diese Woche heißt es: "Alles geht" (mit Mo Manning Motiven)!
Für mein Projekt habe ich das super niedliche Motiv "Hanging the star" verwendet und quasi eine kleine 3D-Szene geschaffen. Der Weihnachtsbaum kann als Deko aufgestellt oder auch als Karte verwendet werden, da er wie normale Karten rechts aufgestellt werden kann. Damit die einzelnen Klappen auch schön anliegen, habe ich sie mit vielen kleinen Brads in Sternform befestigt.
Einen solch gefalteten Weihnachtsbaum hatte ich letztes Jahr schon mal im Netz gesehen, da war er kleiner und auf einer Karte angebracht. Ich fand die Idee so süß und habe sie für mich abgespeichert. Leider hatte ich keine Anleitung dafür und musste schon ziemlich rumprobieren, bis die Falzungen an der richtigen Stelle waren und alles genau passte. Tja, und als ich es dann im zweiten Anlauf geschafft hatte, habe ich eine super Anleitung gefunden. Naja, ich weiß ja jetzt wie es geht ... ihr könnt dann wenigstens Zeit sparen. ;-)

Welcome to another challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil! This week we have the most funny theme as it says: "Anything goes" (of course with an image from Mo Manning)! I finally managed to make my shaped card which I actually planned to make for the "Don't be square" challenge. Unfortunately, my first try was only for the bin, but now here I am with my folded Christmas tree! ;-)
It can be put up as decoration or used as normal greeting card, since the tree can be opened on it's right side. To make the layers tight-fitting to the tree I fixed them with many small star brads. These are perfect match to the cute Mo image I used: "Hanging the star".
I already found such a folded tree last year in the web (where it was smaller and mounted on a card). This was so nice and I wanted to try out this folding myself. It took me a lot of time and I really had to test around until the folds and edges were there where they have to be! Well, after succeeding this, yesterday I found an easy tutorial for this ... Murphy's law? That's the way life goes! ;-)

Zweige für den Kranz * Mo's DP # 162: Don't be square

Hmm, naja ... meine Karte ist zwar nicht quadratisch, aber doch noch eckig. Aber ich denke, die Landschaftsilhouette an der Falzkante macht das wieder wett, oder? Eigentlich hatte ich etwas gaaanz anderes für die neue Challenge "Nicht quadratisch" bei Mo's Digital Pencil geplant. Der erste Versuch ging leider in die Hose, daher zeige ich euch heute meinen "Plan B". Das verwendete Motiv heißt "Boughs for the wreath" ("Zweige für den Kranz"). Ist das nicht wunderschön? Ich finde es herrlich stimmungsvoll und noch dazu ist es ganz schnell koloriert, da es nicht zu detailliert ist. Das dunkle Designpapier habe ich mit weiß embossten Rändern etwas aufgelockert. Ansonsten habe ich das Motiv mit geprägtem Pergamentpapier hinterlegt und ein paar gestanzten Sternen umrandet. Mehr Deko hätte sonst vom Bild nur abgelenkt.

Umm, well ... in fact my card is not square, but nevertheless still rectangular. But I think the landscape border at the top makes it good again, doesn't it? Actually I have planed something very different for the new challenge "Don't be square" at Mo's Digital Pencil. But my first attempt was for the bin, therefore I made a "plan B". ;-) The used image for my card is "Boughs for the wreath". Isn't it just fab? It's so full of atmosphere and on top it's easy to colour in as there are not that much tiny details.
To open up the dark design paper the edges are white embossed. Behind the image I only put some dry embossed vellum and arranged some die cut stars. More embellishments only would draw the attention off the image.

Aaaber, demnächst gibt es doch noch die ganz besondere Kartenform. So schnell gebe ich ja nicht auf und diesmal sieht's auch ganz gut aus ... ;-) Nun wünsche ich euch viel Spaß beim Ausprobieren und bin schon ganz gespannt auf eure aussergewöhnlichen Karten(formen) natürlich mit wunderschönen Motiven von Mo Manning!

Es ist kalt draußen ... * Mo's DP # 161: Let's chill

Huch, wo ist denn der Herbst schon wieder hin? Erst gestern war es doch noch so schön sonnig und den Umständen enstprechend "warm" - und heute? Brrrr, neblig und ziemlich kalt mit Minusgraden heute morgen - als käme jetzt schon der Winter ... Auf jeden Fall bestes Wetter um mit der lieben Familie im Warmen zu entspannen oder sich gemütlich ins Bastelzimmer zurückzuziehen. Die neue Challenge von Mo's Digital Pencil hält diese Woche auch ein sehr passendes Thema dafür bereit: Let's "chill". Auf euren Projekten möchten wir also etwas entspannendes oder auch einfach nur winterliches sehen. Nichts einfacher als das, oder?
Meine Karte ist diese Woche seeeeehr schlicht ausgefallen. Einfach aus dem Grund, damit das wundervolle Motiv "Door with wreath" so richtig zur Geltung kommt. Ich habe mich sofort in dieses Motiv verguckt und finde es unglaublich, welche Wirkung so eine Tür haben kann! Für mich strahlt, das Motiv so viel Ruhe aus und erinnert doch an das Beste im Winter: draussen ist es knackig kalt, es liegt Schnee, die Sonne scheint und man kommt mit seinen Lieben nach einem herrlichen Winterspaziergang nach Hause und macht es sich mit einer heißen Schokolade gemütlich!

Yikes, where is autumn hiding? Only yesterday it was still so nicely sunny and "warm" (according to the circumstances *lol*) - and today? Brrrr, foggy and quite cold with sub-zero degrees this morning - as if the winter already came now... Anyway, it's the best weather to relax around in the warm with your dear family or to retreat yourself comfortably into your craft room. This week's new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil holds a very suitable subject ready for this: Let's "chill"! On your projects we would like to see a something relaxing or also the just wintry. Nothing easier than this, don't you think?

This week I kept my card veeeery simple in order to accentuate the wonderful image "Door with wreath". I loved this from the first moment I saw it and it's unbelievable which effect such a simple door can have! For me it emanates so much calm and reminds of the best in winter: it's crispy cold outside, everything is covered with snow, the sun is shining and after coming home from a marvellous winter walk with your lovelies, you are relaxing with a hot chocolate!

Der Winter kommt ... * Mo's DP # 160: "C" is for ...

Wow, schon wieder eine Woche rum ... Es geht nun wirklich mit riesen Schritten auf Weihnachten zu! Auch ich habe nun schon die ersten Geschenke besorgt und sogar die ein oder andere Weihnachtskarte gefertigt. ;-)
Eine davon ist für die neue Challenge bei  Mo's Digital Pencil. In dieser Woche lautet das Thema "C is for ...". Dazu fallen euch allein jahreszeitbedingt ganz viele Sachen ein. Denkt nur an Weihnachten (Christmas), Kälte (cold), Kinder (children), Kerzen (candles), Cupcakes und so weiter ...
Für meine heutige Karte habe ich eine kleine Winterszene mit gleich drei wunderschönen Motiven von Mo Manning kreiert. Von links nach rechts sind das:  Christmas lamp post, Urchin with bird und das Winter Window. Meine englischen "C's" sind damit auch ganz offensichtlich, oder?
Die Koloration ist wieder ein Mix aus Prismacolor Stiften und Twinklings H²O. Letzteres habe ich vor allem für die Steine und das Licht verwendet, da diese Farben sich so wunderschön verblenden lassen.
Übrigens schimmer die weißen Sprenkler auf dem Kartenrohling auch ganz fein, da ich diese mit Nachfülltinte von Brilliance gemacht habe. Der Effekt ist auf dem Foto leider nicht gut zu erkennen, wirkt aber in natura echt schön und mich erinnert's an Schneegestöber... ;-)

Ich bin schon ganz gespannt auf eure Ideen und empfehle euch für Inspirationen auch unbedingt auf den Blogs der anderen Designteammitglieder vorbeizuschauen. Bleibt gesund und schön kreativ!

Wow, already another week has gone by ... Time hurries up and Christmas is coming soon! Even I already bought the first pressies and also made the one or another Christmas card. ;-)
One of these is for the new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. This week's theme is "C is for ...". I am sure that you are full of ideas for this at this time of year. Just think of Christmas, cold, candles and many more.
For my today's card I created a little winter scene with these gorgeous images by Mo Manning:  Christmas lamp post, Urchin with bird and Winter Window. Do you find my "C's"?
I used Prismacolor pencils and Twinklings H²O to colour the scene. The latter I mainly used for the bricks and the lights in order to achieve a nice blending.

Spieldose mit Winterelfe Halla

So, doch nochmal Winter - aber ist keine Karte! Die Elfenmotive von Mo Manning gefallen mir immer so gut, da konnte ich einfach nicht widerstehen... Diesmal habe ich für mein Patenkind eine Metalldose mit der frostigen Winter Fairy Halla verschönert. Das Motiv passt ganz toll zum Papier von BoBunny und die Dose wird sicher Freude auslösen, denn die junge Dame ist ein absoluter Elfenfan...

Well, still once again winter - but it's not a card! I always love the fairy images from Mo Manning that much, so I really couldn't resist... This time I pimped a metal box with the frosty winter fairy Halla. The image fits perfectly to the BoBunny paper and I am sure the box will excite joy, as the young lady is an absolute fan of fairies...

Christbaumkugeln/Baubles

Heute habe ich doch tatsächlich noch zwei Karten geschafft! Ich wollte unbedingt den Stempel von Hero Arts verwenden, den ich mir schon im Herbst zugelegt hatte (von denen habe ich auch die Karteninspiration). Damit das Motiv gut zur Geltung kommt, habe ich kein Designpapier verwendet, sondern einfach braunes Tonpapier mit verschiedenen Weihnachtsschriften bestempelt. Das finde ich schön dezent, aber doch effektvoll:

Today I have really managed to create another two cards! I absolutely wanted to use the stamp from Hero Arts which I had already got in autumn (I also got the inspiration from them). In order that the motive is shown in advantage, I did not use design paper, but simply brown cardstock which I stamped with different Christmas sentiments. I find this looks nicely restrained, but nevertheless effective:

Nellie Snellens Weihnachtswichtel

Huhu,
auch ich musste noch einige Weihnachtskarten machen und dafür durfte dann auch mein neues Stempelchen von Nellie Snellen herahlten. Der Hintergrund ist mit einem lilanen Brilliance Kissen bestempelt (wie die Wimpel) mit einem Schneeflockenmotiv. Die Schneeflocken sind je in weiß und lila ausgestanzt und dann habe ich sie ineinander verflochten.

und dann sind mir die großen Briefumschläge ausgegangen und die Karte wurde nochmal etwas kleiner gemacht.

Ich hoffe euch gefallen die Karten und ich würde mich sehr über einen Kommentar freuen.

... aber nur auf dem Papier ... Nachdem mich ein fieser Infekt in der letzten Woche total lahm gelegt und somit auch all meine Vorbereitungspläne für Weihnachten komplett zu nichte gemacht hat, müssen meine Weihnachtskarten dieses Jahr noch schneller als schnell gehen! Immerhin konnte ich z.B. von dieser Variante gleich mehrere Karten auf einen Schlag machen, da ich ein größeres Stück Restpapier komplett mit den Schneeflocken bestempelt habe. Dies hat dann für fünf gleich große Stücke gereicht und ich musste somit nicht immer wieder von vorn anfangen.

... but only on the paper... After a nasty flue has totally knocked me out last week and therefore also has destroyed all my Christmas planning, this year my Christmas cards must go even faster than fast! At least, e.g. from this variation I could make several cards on one turn, because I have stamped a bigger piece of scrap paper completely with the snowflakes. Then this has reached for five equal pieces and I had not always to begin again at the start.
