The reader * DT Inspiration Mo's Digital Pencil

Juhu, das Wochenende steht vor der Tür und bevor ich selbiges genieße, zeige ich euch noch schnell meine Freitrags-DT-Inspiration für Mo's Clubhouse Blog. Dieses geniale Motiv ist "The Reader" von Mo Manning. Da es sehr detailreich ist, habe ich die Karte recht schlicht gehalten. Für die Koloration habe ich Prismacolor-Stifte verwendet.

Hooray, the weekend is upon us and before I enjoy it, I will just show you my Friday-DT-inspiration for Mo's Clubhouse blog. This ingenious image is "The Reader" by Mo Manning. Since it is full of detail, I have the card kept quite simple. For the coloration I used Prismacolor pencils.

Celebrate * DT Inspiration Mo's Digital Pencil

So, nun ist auch diese Woche schon wieder fast rum. Ich hoffe, Ihr hattet alle ein wunderschönes Osterfest! So kurz vor dem Wochenende ist wieder meine wöchentliche DT-Inspiration für Mo's Clubhouse Blog an der Reihe.

Ich habe eine schnelle, aber nicht weniger effektvolle Geburtstagskarte mit dem fröhlichen (älteren) Motiv "Celebrate" von Mo Manning gestaltet. Das Design ergab sich wieder aus meinem Vorhaben endlich mal die Berge von Papierresten zu minimieren. Praktisch und einfach zugleich - aber mir gefällt's. ;-) Allerdings muss ich gestehen, dass ich ein schon zugeschnittenes weiteres Papier vergessen habe. Ist mir natürlich erst aufgefallen, nachdem alles fertig zusammengeklebt war.

Den Spruch habe ich extra mit Staz-On auf das Pergamentpapier gestempelt, ist leider trotzdem etwas verschmiert. Gibt's hier einen Trick? Das Designpapier ist übrigens von Jillybean Soup und für die Koloration habe ich wie immer Prismacolorstifte und Twinklings H²O verwendet.

 

So, now already this week is almost over. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! And just before the weekend  it is time again for my weekly DT inspiration for Mo's Clubhouse Blog .

I have designed a quick, but not less effective birthday card with the  cheerful (older) Image "Celebrate" by Mo Manning. The design arose out of my plan to finally minimize the mountains of paper scraps. Practical and simple at the same time - but I like it. ;-) However, I must confess that I've forgotten an already cropped additional paper. This of course I only noticed after everything was finished and glued.

I have stamped the extra with Staz-On on the parchment paper, unfortunately it still smeared a Little bit. Is there another trick? Not to forget, the pattern paper is from Jillybean Soup and as always for the coloration I used Prismacolor pencils and Twinklings H²O.

König für einen Tag * DT Inspiration Mo's Digital Pencil

 Ja, das ist wohl eine Traumvorstellung der Männer und ein passendes Motto für eine Geburtstagskarte. Mein Mann feierte kürzlich seinen 40. Geburtstag und hat von mir eine Reise nach London geschenkt bekommen. Und während ihr das hier lest, sind wir sogar schon dort und genießen diese tolle Stadt! ;-)

Mit der Geburtstagskarte wollte ich schon einen Hinweis auf das Geschenk geben und typisch britische Elemente unterbringen. Dafür habe ich z.B. durch Paperpiecing einen sehr "royalen" Sessel gestaltet. Der gefällt mir auch ganz gut. Das Motiv "King for the day" findet ihr übrigens hier in Mo's Shop.

King for the day ... well, this is probably a man's dream and a perfect motto for a male birthday card. My husband recently celebrated his 40th birthday and I presented him with a trip to London. So, while you are reading this, we are even there and enjoy this great city! ;-)
With the birthday card I already wanted to give an indication of the gift and place typical British elements. For example, I have designed a very "royal" chair by paperpiecing it. By the way, you will find the image "King for the day" here in Mo's shop.
 

Die genialen Papiere sind digitale Scrapbook-Papiere und nach einem super Tipp meiner DT-Kolleginnen bin ich bei Etsy und Snap Click Supply Co. fündig geworden. Ein Klick auf die Shopnamen führt euch direkt zu meiner Auswahl. 

Für die Koloration habe ich Prismacolor-Stifte verwendet. Der Hintergrund ist mit Twinklings H²O in Eisblau entstanden, der Boden mit grauen Spectrum Noir Markern.

I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils. I also used Twinklings H²O in iceblue for the background and grey Spectrum Noir Markers for the carpet.

Geburtstagsballons * DT Inspiration Mo's Digital Pencil

Endlich Freitag! Fast Wochenende und Zeit für eine neues "Mo make", also meine wöchentliche Designteaminspiration für euch. Außerdem startet heute auch der neue Blog "Mo's Clubhouse", auf dem dann täglich die neuen Werke des Designteams und natürlich Vieles mehr zu sehen ist. Habt ihr eigentlich auch etwas von der heutigen Sonnenfinsternis mitbekommen? So langsam wird es ja wieder hell, aber das Licht war schon ziemlich besonders, oder? Die Sonne scheint und trotzdem ist es so dunkel als würde es gleich heftig gewittern. Notiz an mich selbst: zu 2026 unbedingt eine SoFi-Brille besorgen! ;-)

Nun aber endlich zur Karte. Ich möchte euch heute wieder ein etwas älteres (ich glaube es ist von 2011), aber ganz tolles Motiv von Mo vorstellen: "Angelina's Balloons". Der Anblick dieser elektrisierten Haare zaubert doch gleich ein Schmunzeln ins Gesicht, oder? Bei der jungen Empfängerin (und ihren Eltern) ist diese Geburtstagskarte auf jeden Fall gut angekommen.
Für die Koloration habe ich wieder hauptsächlich meine Prismacolorstifte (ohne Verblendermedium) benutzt. Die Ballons und der Hintergrund sind auch diesmal mit Twinklings H²O gestaltet. Auf dem Detailfoto kann man das tolle Schimmern dieser Farben ganz gut erkennen.

TIF! Almost weekend and time for a new "Mo make" - my weekly design team inspiration for you. Moreover, today is also launching of the new blog "Mo's Clubhouse", a place for all the daily "Mo makes" of the design team and of course much more. Have you actually noticed something of today's solar eclipse (in Europe)? Slowly it is becoming bright again, but the light was quite special, right? The sun was shining and yet it was so dark as if there would be heavy thunderstorms soon. Note to self: absolutely buy ecplise glasses for 2026! ;-)

But now at last to the card. Today I want you to Show a bit older (I think it is from 2011), but really great Image by Mo: "Angelina's Balloons". The look of these electrified hair immediately conjures a smile in the face, right? The young recipient (and their parents) loved this birthday card in any case.

Once again for the coloration I mainly used my Prismacolor pencils (without blending medium). The balloons and the background are designed with Twinklings H²O. On the detail photo you can see the great shimmering of these colors quite well. Hope you like it!

First Fish * Mo's DP # 249: Grün

Und schon wieder sind zwei Wochen um, inzwischen haben wir auch tatsächlich schon Mitte März! Während wir darauf warten, dass der Frühling sich richtig breit macht, gibt es einen kurzweiligen Zeitvertreib mit einer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil. Es wird die letzte 14-tägige Challenge sein, danach gibt es immer am ersten Donnerstag im Monat eine neue Herausforderung.
Das optionale Thema lautet diesmal: "Grün". Natürlich ist weiterhin jeder Beitrag mit einem der tollen Motive von Mo Manning herzlich willkommen.
Meine Karte für die Challenge wird auch gleichzeitig meine "Wocheninspiration" sein, d.h. morgen gibt es kein extra Posting. ;-) Das superniedliche Motiv "First Fish" passt perfekt zum besten Freund meines Sohns. Da er im Urlaub gern angelt, hatte ich mit dem Bild die beste Basis für seine Geburtstagskarte. Der Fund des digitalen Papiers mit den süßen Fischen war dann noch das i-Tüpfelchen! Koloriert habe ich mein Motiv wie immer mit Prismacolor-Stiften und zusätzlich mit Twinklings H²O umrahmt. Den hellen Blauton sieht man auf den Fotos kaum, vielleicht könnt ihr das zarte Schimmern  und die Glitzerpartikel der Wasserfarbe erkennen. ;-)

And again two weeks passed by. In the meantime we even are in the middle of March already! While waiting for spring coming in its full beauty, we have a entertaining pastime for you with our new challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil starting today. This will be the last two-weekly challenge. Will will beginn then every first Thursday of month.
The current optional theme is: "Green". Of course we still love every project with one of Mo Manning's adorable images.
My card for the challenge is also my weekly DT inspiration. So there will be no extra post tomorrow. The super cute image "First Fish" is perfect for my son's best friend. As he loves fishing during vacations I had the best base for his birthday card. The discovery of the digital paper with those cute fishes was the icing on the cake! ;-) As always I coloured the image with my Prismacolor pencils and bordered it with Twinklings H²O. Unfortunately the light blue is hardly to see on the pictures. Maybe you can spot the soft shimmer and the glitter particles of the water colour. ;-)

Die guten Dinge... * Mo's DP # 248: Animals

 ... kommen manchmal wirklich von selbst, wenn man nur darauf wartet. So wie diese putzige Katze - ein relativ neues Motiv von Mo Manning. Im Online-Shop findet ihr den Digistempel hier: Good things. Meine eigene Katze würde den Käse allerdings lieber selbst fressen, anstatt ihn als Köder zu benutzen. ;-)
Dies ist also meine Karte für unsere neue Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil. Das optionale Thema sind diesmal "Tiere", jedoch könnt ihr natürlich auch jedes andere tolle Motiv von Mo Manning verwenden!

So this is my card for our new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. This time the optional theme is animals, but of course you can use every fantastic image from Mo Manning you like!

Geburtstag in Sicht - Piratenkarte * Mo's DP # 247: Boys

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Willkommen zu einer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil! Das aktuelle optionale Thema heißt "Jungs" und generell könnt ihr gestalten, was ihr möchtet.
Geburtstagskarten kann man nie genug haben, daher habe ich mit "Captain Hugh" eine Karte für kleine Piraten gestaltet. Da das Papier schon so toll ist, musste/durfte gar nicht mehr viel auf die Karte. Ich habe nur noch hinter dem mit Prismacolor Stiften kolorierten Piraten eine Schatzkarte eingefügt.

Hello everybody and welcome to a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil! Our current theme again is "anything goes" and the option is "Boys". So you can create what you like with any Mo image. ;-)
As you can never have enough birthday cards I created on for a little pirate boy by using "Captain Hugh" . The paper is already interesting enough, so I only added a treasure map behind my image, which I colored with Prismacolor pencils .

Party Girl * Mo's DP # 245: Anything goes

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Willkommen zu einer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil! Als erstes Thema in diesem Jahr hat unsere fantastische Pat das Thema "Alles geht" gewählt. Somit dürfte der Einstieg nach den Feiertagen ganz leicht sein. ;-)
Für meine Karte zum dreißigsten Geburtstag meiner Schwägerin habe ich das hübsche Motiv "Party Girl" gewählt. Ich habe mich dazu entschieden ihr eine nette Karte zu diesem runden Geburtstag zu schenken. Meine nächste Null ist ja leider auch nicht mehr allzu weit weg - da muss Frau schon mal vorsichtig sein! ;-)

Hello everybody and welcome to a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil! Our fabulous Pat chose "Anything goes" as first theme for this year. So it will  be an easy start to be creative again after the Holidays. ;-)
For my card for my SIL's 30th birthday I chose the pretty image "Party Girl" . I decided to make her a nice card for this milestone birthday. As my next "zero" is slowly approaching, too, at last I have to be careful! LOL

Fay and Frank* Mo's DP # 241: Pearls and Lace

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Unglaublich, es ist Mitte November und geht schon mit großen Schritten auf Weihnachten zu! Heute habe ich aber noch keine Weihnachtskarte zu zeigen. ;-) Bei unserer neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil geht es um das Thema  "Dank".
Das Motiv auf meiner Karte hat jetzt auf den ersten Blick nicht soviel mit dem Thema zu tun, die Verbindung erschließt sich dann aber über den Empfänger: eine Freundin meiner Tochter aus der Grundschulzeit. Das Mädel mag "Monster High" und Tiere sehr gern und daher fand ich das Motiv "Fay and Frank" sehr passend. ;-) Die beiden Mädels gehen jetzt auf unterschiedliche weiterführende Schulen, möchten aber natürlich ihre Freundschaft aufrecht erhalten. Leider fehlt für Besuche einfach die Zeit. Der Schulwechsel in der 5. Klasse bringt schon eine heftige Umstellung bzgl. der Lernerei mit sich - zumindest empfinde ich es für das Gymnasium so. Wie auch immer, statt Besuch hilft dann vielleicht auch mal ein kleiner Kartengruß.

Hello everbody! Unbelievable, we are in the middle of November and Christmas is fast approaching! But today I won't have a Christmas Card to Show yet. ;-) The theme of our new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil is "thanks"!
At first sight, the image on my card seems not to fit to the theme. But I chose the image corresponding to the receipient: a friend of my daughter. They attended Primary School together and that girl loves "Monster High" and animals. So I thought the image "Fay and Frank" would be perfect for her. ;-) The girls now attend different secondary schools and want to stay friends nevertheless. Unfortunately, they don't have much time to visit another, so a little card may help!

Hupffeh Bffday * Mo's DP # 238: Clean&Simple

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Nach 1,5 Monaten gibt es heute zum Start der neuen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil mal wieder ein Lebenzeichen von mir. Durch Urlaub, Schulferien, Krankheit und zu wenig Zeit für zu viele Dinge, war es ja recht ruhig hier auf dem Blog. Doch heute kann ich euch eine Geburtstagskarte zum Thema "Schlicht und Einfach" zeigen, welches sich unsere liebe Kim aus den USA ausgesucht hat.
Die Karte ist für eine Schulfreundin meiner Tochter. Die "großen" Mädchen finden ja so ganz niedliche Motive schon etwas "uncool", aber Tiere gehen auch bei Fast-Teenagern noch! ;-) Da fiel meine Wahl direkt auf den "Cupcake Hamster", der mit passenden witzigen Sprüchen gleich ein Komplettpaket. Bei der Party können die Kids dann ja mal ausprobieren, ob sich "Happy Birthday" mit dem Mund voller Kuchen wirklich so anhört! :-D
Die CAS-Karten mache ich total gern. Mal abgesehen von der Koloration sind sie sehr schnell gemacht und benötigen nicht viel Deko. Ich habe mich hier auf zwei Streifen Washi-Tape unter dem Spruch, eine ausgestanzte "11", etwas Glitter und Glossy Accents auf dem Cupcake beschränkt. Und die Enamel-Dots sind gar keine, dafür habe ich einfach Nagellack benutzt. ;-)

Hello everbody! After 1.5 months, today there is again a sign of life from me at the launch of the new challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. Due to vacation, school holidays, illness and too little time for too many things, it was pretty quiet here on the blog. But today I can show you a birthday card for the theme "Clean and Simple" that  our lovely Kim has chosen.
The card is for one of my daughter's school friends. The "big" girls begin to find cute designs something "uncool", but animals are still loved even by pre-teenagers! ;-) That's why I directly chose the "Cupcake Hamster", which comes with matching witty sentiments. So, at the party the kids can try it then, if "Happy Birthday" spoken with cake in the mouth really sounds like that! :-D
I really like to do those CAS cards! Apart from the colouring they are really qickly done and don't need much embellishments. I only used washi-tape, glitter glue and Glossy Accents (cupcake), a die punched "11" and enamel dots which aren't really ones, because I used nail polish do make them.

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Nun ist schon wieder August - Wahnsinn, oder?! Momentan genießen wir in Niedersachsen die Sommerferien und nächste Woche geht es ab in den Urlaub! ;-) Heute habe ich erstmal ein neues Kärtchen für euch, da wieder eine neue Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil startet. Unsere fabelhafte Elaine möchte gern Beiträge zum Thema  "Geburtstag Mädchen" sehen.
Meine Karte ist für unser Patenkind. Sie steht momentan total auf "Monster High" und daher fand ich das Motiv "Little Punk" irgendwie ganz passend. ;-)

These days we enjoy the summer holidays and next week we finally fly into vacation! ;-) But today I have a new card for you to show, as a new challenge starts at Mo's Digital Pencil. Our lovely Elaine is our hostess this fortnight and she has chosen the wonderful theme "birthday for girls"!
My card is for our goddaughter. She absolutely loves "Monster High" at present and so I thought the image "Little Punk" quite perfect. ;-)

Ready to fight * Mo's DP # 233: Male birthday

Hallo Ihr Lieben! Das Daumen drücken hat sich ja absolut gelohnt: Finale!!! ;-) Und jetzt fiebert nahezu ganz Deutschland dem WM-Endspiel am Sonntag entgegen, oder?

Allerdings haben wir heute (erst) Donnerstag und somit ist Zeit für eine neue Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil. Unsere fantastische Francesca hat auch wieder ein tolles und vielseitiges Thema ausgesucht: "Geburtstagskarten für Jungs/Männer"

 

Ich muss zugeben, die Karte für dieses Thema habe ich schon lange fertig - vorgearbeitet sozusagen.  Diese Karte habe ich nämlich für meinen Sohn zu seinem Geburtstag gemacht und der war schon ... ach, das wollt ihr gar nicht wissen! ;-) Da er sich seit Anfang des Jahres aktiv für Taekwondo begeistert, fiel meine Motivwahl ganz schnell auf den putzigen "karate boy". Passt vielleicht vom Namen nicht ganz, dafür optisch aber umso mehr! Für mich persönlich ist ja das Herrliche an "männlichen" Karten: sie sind so schnell fertig, weil sie ganz ohne viel Schnickschnack auskommen!

However, we (only) have Thursday, what means time for a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. Our fantastic Francesca has chosen the great versatile theme "birthday for boys". I must admit, that I already did this card a long time ago - prefabricated so to speak. It's so to say that I made this card for my son's birthday and it already was ... well, you didn't really want to know that! ;-) As my boy actively got enthusiastic for taekwondo since the beginning of the year, my image choice fell  instantly onto the cute "karate boy". Maybe the name doesn't fit 100%, but the pose fits the more! What I personally love about male cards: they are so quickly done as they easily do without knick-knack! ;-)

Teenager-Geburtstagskarte * Mo's DP # 232: Girl's world

Hallo Ihr Lieben, einen schönen Donnerstag! Für fast ganz Deutschland zählt ja heute eigentlich nur eins: der letzte Schritt unserer Nationalmannschaft ins Achtelfinale der FIFA WM! Doch bevor auch bei uns wegen des Spiels alles andere stehen und liegen bleibt, möchte ich euch noch meinen Beitrag für die neue Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil zeigen. Unsere liebe Mau stellt die Mädels in den Mittelpunkt und hat sich das tolle Thema "It's a Girl's World" ausgesucht.
Das passte zeitlich für mich perfekt, denn die älteste Tochter einer lieben Freundin hatte diese Woche ihren 15. Geburtstag. Für Teeny-Mädels ist das Motiv "Cara chatting" einfach nur schön. Es spiegelt wesentliche Dinge wider, die die Mädels in diesem Alter interessieren, daher passt auch der Motivname sehr gut. ;-) Das Motiv habe ich mit Prismacolor-Stiften koloriert, dazu noch ein bisschen Glitzer und Bling - fertig!

So, und nun freuen wir uns auf ein tolles Spiel. Ich wünsche meinen amerikanischen Freunden viel Glück für ihr Team, aber uns natürlich den Sieg! ;-)

Hello everbody and happy Thursday! Today for almost the whole of Germany mainly one thing counts: the last step of our national soccer team to the knockout stages of the FIFA World Cup! But before even we drop everything because of the game , I want to show you my contribution for the new challenge over at  Mo's Digital Pencil. Our dear Mau centres the girls this fortnight at the center as she has chosen the great theme "It's a Girl's World".

That fits perfectly in time for me, because the eldest daughter of a dear friend had her 15th birthday this week. For teen girls, the image ""Cara chatting"  is just beautiful. It reflects significant things that might interest girls at this age, hence the motive name fits very well. ;-) I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils, added a bit of glitter and bling - done!

Well, and now we are looking forward to a great match. I wish my US friends good luck for their team, but the win for us, of course! ;-)

Grinsekatze * Mo's DP # 229: Whimsical Characters

Da sind wir wieder mit einer neuen tollen Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil. In den nächsten zwei Wochen wird es fabelhaft! ;-) Unsere liebe Tracy hat sich nämlich das wunderschöne Thema "Wundersame Figuren" ausgesucht. Es dreht sich also alles um Elfen und Feen sowie Figuren aus Büchern.
Ich habe für meine kleine - eigentlich nun schon große - Tochter eine Geburtstagskarte gemacht. Sie gestern schon 10 (!) Jahre alt geworden! Wahnsinn, wo ist nur die Zeit geblieben? Da meine Madame Katzen sehr gern mag, ist meine Wahl sofort auf Mo's "Grinsekatze" aus "Alice im Wunderland" gefallen. Rosa ist ja in dem Alter nun auch "out", daher ist unsere Grinsekatze nun nicht pink wie im Buch, sondern grau-türkis koloriert (mit Prismacolor-Stiften) wie in der aktuellsten Disney-Verfilmung.
Wenn ihr mein Motiv mit dem im Shop vergleicht, wird euch auffallen, dass die Augen ganz anders sind. An einer Katze liebe ich am meisten die Augen, deswegen habe ich (mit Mo's Erlaubnis) der Grinsekatze Katzenaugen gezeichnet. Bitte beachtet, dass eine solche Veränderung des Originals in der Regel nicht unbedingt erlaubt ist. Wenn, dann nur für den persönlichen Gebrauch, keineswegs aber für Projekte, die verkauft werden sollen. Am besten ihr haltet vorher mit dem Designer des Motivs Rücksprache, dann seid ihr auf der sicheren Seite.

Here we are back again with a new great challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. In the next two weeks it's going to be fantastic! ;-) Our dear extremely talented Tracy chose the wonderful theme: "Whimsical Characters". So show us all the fairies, elves and characters from books.
I made a birthday card for my little - actually big - girl. She turned already 10 (!) yesterday! Man! Where has the time gone? As my daughter really loves cats I instantly chose Mo's "Cheshire Cat" from "Alice in Wonderland". And as at this age pink is almost "out" I colored our Cheshire Cat in grey-turquoise (with Prismacolor pencils) like in the latest Disney movie.
If you compare my image with the one in the shop, you will notice that the eyes are completely different. From a cat I love her eyes the most. That's why I have drawn some cats eyes to our Cheshire Cat (with Mo's permission). Please be aware, that such a modification is only permitted for personal use! The sale of projects with modified images is strictly forbidden! Best you ask the designer before publishing such images, so you will be on the safe side!
