Über den Wolken * Mo's DP # 170: Laces and/or Ribbon

Da hatten wir jetzt mal eine 14-tägige Challenge bei Mo's Digital Pencil und ihr habt doch glatt auch zwei Wochen lang nichts von mir gehört bzw. gesehen ... tzz! Aber soviel kann ich euch sagen: ich war nicht untätig, sondern viel mit dem Leben beschäftigt (und das in vielerlei Weise, darauf komme ich demnächst mal zurück)! Heute ist es ja zum Glück wieder soweit, es startet eine neue Challenge. Das tolle Thema "Spitze und/oder Bänder" hat sich die wahnsinning talentierte Francesca für euch ausgedacht. Ich bin mir sicher, dazu habt ihr viele Ideen!
Auf meiner Karte seht ihr das niedliche und für vielerlei Anlässe verwendbare Motiv "Going up" (eine Jungen-Version gibt es übrigens auch). Ich wollte den Ballon gern im Mittelpunkt stehen lassen. Daher ist das Layout etwas zurückhaltender ausgefallen, zum Beispiel mit kaum gemusterten Papier. Dafür habe ich aber mit unterschiedlichen Materialien (Filz, Spitze, kräftigeres Band) wieder Tiefe geschaffen. Das rote Band greift den Luftballon farblich noch einmal auf. Und mit Hilfe der Landschaftsstanze wird sogar eine kleine Szene daraus ...

Right now there we had a 14-day challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil and actually also during this two weeks you just haven't heard or seen something from me... tzz! So much I can say to you: I was not idle, but was occupied a lot with life (and in various sorts of manner, I'll come back to this later soon)! But today it is luckily time again for a new challenge. The nice theme "Lace and/or Ribbon" has thought up for you the incredibly talented Francesca. I am sure that you will love it!

On my card you see the cute and for all many of occasions fitting image "Going up" (also availabel as boy version). I liked to have the balloon as main focus of the card. Therefore I reduced the layout, for example, by using only slightly patterned paper. But instead I have created depth with different materials (felt, lace, stronger ribbon). The red ribbon takes up the balloon in colour once again. And with the help of the scenery punch it even looks like a small scene. ...

Katze in der Tüte * Mo's DP # 169: Embossing

 Da ist er ja schon wieder ... der Donnerstag! Also fast Wochenende und natürlich eine neue Herausforderung bei Mo's Digital Pencil. Das schöne Thema für diese Woche hat sich unser fantastisches Teammitglied Tracy ausgedacht: Embossing (mit Pulver oder Prägeschablonen). Das bietet doch wieder fast unendliche Möglichkeiten, oder? Einzige Bedingung ist natürlich die Verwendung eines Mo Manning Motivs. Aber auch das sollte nicht schwerfallen ... ;-)
Für meine Geburtstagskarte habe ich mir die niedlichen Katzen aus dem Set "Cat's in the bag" ausgesucht. Die beiden (in und aus der Tüte) kommen also als zwei Motive und können auch einzeln verarbeitet werden. In der Glückwunschkarte wollte ich auch einen Gutschein unterbringen, daher habe ich mich für das schmale lange Format entschieden. Somit war auch genug Platz für beide (mit Prismacolor Stiften kolorierten) Samtpfoten und einen einfach nur weißen, aber geprägten Teil. Falls euch der Textstempel so intensiv vorkommt: das liegt wohl daran, dass er durch das schwarze Embossingpulver auf dem Foto extrem hervorsticht ...

There it is again... Thursday! So almost week-end and of course a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. Our fantastic team member Tracy has thought up a very nice theme for this week: Embossing (wet or dry). This offers almost infinite possibilities, don't you think? The only condition is of course the use of at least one image from Mo Manning. But also this should not be that difficult ;-)
For my birthday card I have selected the cute cats from the set "Cat's in the bag". The both (in and out the bag) come as two images and also can be used individually. Inside the congratulations card I also wanted to accommodate a gift voucher, therefore I have decided on the narrow long format. And in that way also was enough place for both cats (coloured with Prismacolor to pencils) and a simple white, but dry embossed part. If the text stamp seems so intensely to you: this may probably caused by the black embossing powder which extremely pops out the photo ...

So, nun wünsche ich euch viel Spaß beim Bestaunen der anderen Designteamwerke und vor allem beim mitmachen. Es lohnt sich ja auch: pro 25 Einträgen wird ein 5$-Gutschein für Mo's Shop verlost!
Übrigens habt ihr für diese Challenge sogar zwei Wochen Zeit! Wir sind nach einer kurzen Pause am 31. Januar 2013 wieder da.

Baby-Kommode * Mo's DP # 168: Something new

Herzlich willkommen zur zweiten Challenge von Mo's Digital Pencil im neuen Jahr! Es ist ja noch nicht so alt, da darf man das auch ruhig noch mal betonen... ;-) Vor allem auch aus dem Grund, das wir in diesem Jahr auch eine kleine Neuerung haben: Die "Hostessen" sind zurück! :D Das heißt, jede Woche wird euch ein anderes Designteammitglied ein selbstausgedachtes Challengethema vorstellen. Freut euch also auf viel Spaß und Abwechslung! Die "Alles geht"-Challenge an jedem ersten Donnerstag bleibt natürlich.
In dieser Woche ist meine unheimlich talentierte Teamkollegin Iulia die Challenge-Hostess und möchte "Etwas Neues" (mit einem Motiv von Mo Manning) von euch sehen. Das kann das neue Jahr, ein neugeborenes Baby, ein neues Zuhause oder einfach auch neues Bastelmaterial sein.
Um schon den ein oder anderen Auftrag abzuarbeiten, ist es bei mir eine Karte zur Geburt eines Babys geworden. Damit das aber nicht allmählich langweilig wird, habe ich statt einer normalen Karte mal eine dieser Kommodenkarten (Side-Step-Card) gemacht. Die habe ich schon öfter im Netz gesehen und wollte sie nun auch selbst testen. Geht ganz einfach und wirkt gleich ganz anders, oder? Die Karte ist für einen Jungen und als Motiv habe ich natürlich wieder eines der süßen Babies aus dem Set "Diaper Crew" verwendet. Der Name des Babys ist noch nicht bekannt, wird dann aber noch rechts unten mit gestanzten Buchstaben ergänzt.

Hello again and a hearty welcome to the second challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil in the new year! As it is quite young, you can still emphasize this ... ;-) Also especially for the reason that we have something "new old" in this year for you: our "hostesses" are back! :D This means, every week another team mate will present her challenge theme to you. This means a lot of fun! Of course the "Anything goes" challenges will remain.

This week my incredibly talented teamie Iulia starts as challenge hostess and she wants to see "Something new" (with a Mo Manning image) on your projects. This can be the new year, the new baby, a new home or simply new crafting stuff.

In order to already get the one or another order done, I came up with a baby card. But I don't want to bore you with them, so I decided on a dresser card (side step card?). After seeing them from time to time in the net I finally want to try one myself. It's really easy to make but immediately looks much more interesting, don't you think? This card is for a boy and my image is -of course-one of the cute babies from the set  "Diaper Crew". The baby isn't born yet, so his name will be added later. I think I will use die cut letters then.

Ui, heute bekam ich mal wieder diese blöde Frage gestellt: "Hast du mal schnell eine Karte für mich?"!  Ähm, ja ... hatte ich. Und jetzt habe ich keine mehr! Um die gähnende Lehre in meiner Vorratsbox etwas zu mindern, habe ich heute ein einfaches, aber wie ich finde doch hübsches Kärtchen gemacht. Mit embossten und TwinklingsH²O kolorierten Blättern in frischem Grün und etwas "Holz" (geprägter Cardstock) im Hintergrund. Ganz neutral. Für alle Eventualitäten.

Let's party 2013 * Mo's DP # 167: Anything goes!

Ich wünsche euch allen nochmals ein gesundes neues Jahr und begrüße euch herzlich zur ersten Challenge von Mo's Digital Pencil in 2013! Auch in diesem Jahr wird immer der erste Donnerstag im Monat eine "Alles geht"-Challenge sein. Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass eure Muse schon aus der Feiertagslethargie erwacht ist und ihr euch mit frischem Elan und vielen Ideen ran an den Basteltisch setzen könnt! ;-)
Mit meiner Karte begrüße ich bzw. Partygirl "Veronica" das neue Jahr. Ist die nicht klasse? Die Karte habe ich meiner Freundin (Gastgeberin der Silvesterparty) mitgebracht und auch sie musste richtig über die fesche Dame schmunzeln. Das Kleid von "Veronica" habe ich übrigens mit Designpapier gestaltet (also Paper Piecing betrieben) -  sie sollte ja für die Party besonders chic aussehen! ;-)

I really hope that you mojo already is awake after the Holidays and you are full of ideas and ready to craft! ;-)
With my card I resp. partygirl "Veronica" welcome(s) the new year. Isn't she fantastic? I brought this card a girlfriend (the hostess of our New Year's Eve party), who also really has to smile on this posh lady. By the way, Veronica's dress is paperpieced - of course she needs to look extra chic for the party! ;-)

Bitte schaut euch auch unbedingt die tollen Werke der anderen Design-Mädels an, es sind wieder ganz tolle Karten entstanden! So, und nun viel Spaß beim Kreativsein ...

A very happy and healthy new year to everybody!

Ich hoffe, ihr seid alle gesund und munter in das Jahr 2013 reingekommen. Möge es für uns alle nur das Beste bereithalten! Katys und meine Familie haben es jedenfalls gleich gesellig anfangen lassen: Wir haben mit ein paar lieben Menschen "angegrillt"! ;-) Das war ein netter Spaß und praktischerweise gab es auch gleich ordentlich frische Luft für diejenigen unter uns, die nur eine kurze Nacht hatten.

Ein Kärtchen habe ich noch mitgebracht. Es ist zwar keine Neujahrskarte [die kommt diese Woche aber noch ;-)], aber das Seegelboot bringt auch so viele Metaphern mit sich, das passt einfach immer! Es sollte eben eine maritime Geburtstagskarte werden. Und das Projekt "Kullerkarte" kann ich nun auch von meiner "Ausprobier-Liste" streichen ... Aber seht selbst:
